What are UK Virtual Numbers?

UK Virtual Numbers present a local image, irrespective of where your company is based.

But I already have a landline number – why would I need a UK Virtual Number?

Example: Let’s say you run an Estate Agency in Plymouth, but you want to branch out, and attract customers in Exeter. You want to appear local, but without the expense of having a physical office and phone line in Exeter.

One solution is to acquire a UK Virtual Number with an 01392 (Exeter) Area Code.

That would allow you to include the 01392 Area Code number on any future advertising – possibly increasing the chance that someone in Exeter will contact you.

Will my normal landline number(s) still work?

Yes. UK Virtual Numbers simply point to an existing landline or mobile number. So whether a customer calls you on your UK Virtual Number or your normal number, you still receive the call.

Can I point my UK Virtual Number to my mobile?

Yes. Subject to status all New numbers may be diverted to UK mobiles**.

Are UK Virtual Numbers for everyone?

No. UK Virtual Numbers are only suitable for business use and not for domestic use. Whether you are a large company or a sole trader working from home, every business can benefit from our services.

If I used two different UK Virtual Numbers would I have to have two different landline telephone numbers?

No. We can set up any number of UK Virtual Numbers to point to just one landline or mobile number. This gives you the opportunity to use different numbers for different promotions, allowing you to measure the effectiveness of your marketing.

How long does it take to set up a UK Virtual Number?

During the week, orders normally go through in under 30 minutes. Urgent orders are connected one hour from point of order service levels permitting.*

There are 3 stages to completing your order:

Stage 1: Upon receipt of your order one of our advisors will contact you to confirm your instructions and answer any queries you may have.

Stage 2: We will contact you again when your service is live.

Stage 3: Finally, you will receive an Order Confirmation by email.

Please wait for this confirmation before promoting your new number(s).

How do I pay for my number?

You will receive a full VAT invoice in the post (or by email). Unless otherwise agreed you have 14 days to pay this invoice.

Invoices are generated a month in arrears on or around the 16th of each month (so, if you ordered a number in January, you would receive your invoice on or around the 17th February).

We accept payment by Direct Debit, Cheque/Postal Order, Credit/Debit card and Telephone/Internet banking.

How can I change the number that my UK Virtual Number points to?

With Online Access:

All new numbers now come with Free Online Access to the Advanced Services Portal (Myriad).

Without Online Access:

It’s very simple. Telephone or email us, quoting your name, your business name, the 0800 Number(s) in question and the new number that you would like the number to point to and we will do the rest.

Please note that change of destination requests are Free of charge.

During the working week change of destination requests normally go through in under an hour. However, during busy periods we recommend Customers allow 1-2 working hours.

If your change is particularly important, or you have a large quantity of numbers to change, please give us advanced notice of when you want to make a change (when possible).

If the person requesting the change is not down as your company’s main contact on our system, we may call you to confirm your instructions.

What happens if there is a fault or problem with my UK Virtual Number?

Our dedicated Customer Services team handles all fault management. In the unlikely event that a fault occurs and your phone number is affected, simply call us on Freephone 0800 056 0856. Our Faults Helpdesk is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

What is the Contract period?
